New South Wales and Victoria
Snow cover is required between 01 June until 30 September, when travelling in the Alpine regions of Jindabyne (NSW) and Bright (VIC).
Tasmania
Snow cover is required year-round, when travelling in the snow in Tasmania.
Suitable vehicles
For safety reasons, we require that journeys to the snow should only be taken in specific vehicles. You must select cars in the following groups as these are the only vehicle types that can be fitted with snow chains on the wheels:
